RESOLUTION NO. 2008-57
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 2008 THROUGH
SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 BUDGET TO MAKE CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO
DESIGNATED APPROPRIATIONS OF CITY FUNDS TO PAY LITIGATION
SETTLEMENT FUNDS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Authority
Resolution 2008-45, adopted on September 22, 2008, authorizes amendments to
the FY 2008-09 budget by resolution.
Section 2. General Fund Budget Amendment
The City settled a lawsuit in City of Fort Walton Beach vs. Sharpe, Inc., & B&H
Earth Moving, Inc., Okaloosa County Circuit Court Case No.: 2003-CA-4042. All claims
and pending issues have been satisfied for the payment of $52,500. Therefore, there is
appropriated $52,500 from undesignated fund balance increasing the General Fund
budget from $19,252,666 to $19,305,166.
Section 3. Effective Date
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval by the City Council
and signature by the Mayor.
