Public Content The School Board of Okaloosa County has previously approved adoption of the Model Plan for Florida Public School Employees as established by the Independent Benefits Counsel (IBC) with the support of the FEA, FASA, FADSS and FSBA. The IBC serves to ensure that the group of approved investment providers participating in the Model Plan meet or exceed established standards for fairness and transparency in fees and costs and offer high-quality products and services to public school employees. Security Benefit was recently added as an investment provider by the IBC, however, the plan documents establishing the 457 program must be executed in order for district employees to have access to this investment vehicle.
