SUBJECT: TSA Contract Closeout Modification at VPS
DEPARTMENT: Airport

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board of County Commissioners is requested to approve the
attached modification amendment de-obligating unspent funding for the Northwest Florida
Regional Airport’s (VPS) Baggage Handling and Inspection System.
BACKGROUND: TSA issued an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) for the design of an
upgrade/replacement of the Airport's baggage handling and inspection system in the amount of
$259,560.00. The Board approved the original grant agreement for design on September 18,
2012. The design has been completed and all invoices paid and reimbursed 100% to the
County. The amount paid was $234,476.00 leaving $25,084.00 un-obligated, This modification
amends the contract amount to the amount paid, and closes the agreement.
Based on this design, another OTA has been issued for the construction in the amount of $4.3
million.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Airport Staff recommends approval of the attached modification
amendment to the agreement and signature by the Chairman.
