SUBJECT: Oasis Contract Renewal
DEPARTMENT: Corrections
BCC DISTRICT: ALL
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Okaloosa County Department of Corrections wishes to renew
the subject contract, #C10-1795-COR for an additional one year term. The contract renewal
period will be October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. The current contract expires on
September 30, 2014 and allows for two - one year renewals; this is the second renewal.
BACKGROUND: This contract is a revenue generating contract. Currently the Prisoner
Benefit Fund receives a 42% commission on items sold to inmates through the Commissary.
Profits from the sale of commissary goods are used for overall welfare. All other aspects of
the contract shall remain in full force and effect.
OPTIONS: Approve Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Okaloosa County Department of Corrections recommends approval
of this contract renewal.
