Endorsement Program. Public Content The purpose of the Okaloosa Athletic Coaching Add-On Endorsement Program is to provide the necessary in-service courses to individuals who wish to add the endorsement to their teaching certificate. In addition, the program provides the coursework necessary for individuals to obtain their athletic coaching certificate. Supplemental coaches are also able to access the course to complete their required credentials. This endorsement will allow the Okaloosa County School District to increase the content knowledge of the participants and to train individuals who are needed to fill the many athletic coaching positions in our district. The option of completing the Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement Program is available for teachers in lieu of taking online courses made available through limited university options. Public Content The Superintendent is requesting approval to add a Risk Management Director effective May 29, 2024, to allow for a seamless transition for the District due to the impending resignation of the Risk Management Program Director on July 15, 2024. The Risk Management Program Director position would be deleted effective July 16, 2024. These two positions would overlap from May 29, 2024, through July 15, 2024. The restructure which deletes a Program Director and adds a Director is estimated to cost the District $6,657 annually.
