Eubanks Subject: RE: Bulletproof Vest Partnership FY 2014 Application Announcement I cleared up the issue I had. I found where a vendor shipped us a Level IIA vest rather than a Level II we ordered. I was afraid we had started ordering the IIA’s (less protection), but that is not the case. Supply is checking to make sure there aren’t others and will deal with the vendor appropriately. They are Ballistic Vests (as opposed to stab), shelf life is 5 years. We get them custom fitted for gender neutral (based on each deputy’s specific measurements). I pen & inked the response on the PDF pages (attached). I will be out of town on TDY all next week. I’ll get the agenda etc to you the following week. Have a good weekend too. The application pages are needed when you present to the BOCC at the next available meeting, May 6, 2014; the cutoff is Wednesday, April 30. I will need your agenda request/package in this office no later than Tuesday, April 29. I have attached screenshots of what I need to keep moving forward, please provide information highlighted in yellow. I did look up the population Census information for Okaloosa, 180,822 for 2010, unless you have something more current/accurate. Please confirm the replacement cycle is 5 years. I don’t think you have anything to report under Application Profile, because you don’t have any unspent BVP funds. On the Vest Information, they are all Ballistic right? Vest Detail, please verify the information and would you like to include any shipping/handling cost? I have also attached the last Agenda Request and a Certification form. Thank you for your help.
