ORDINANCE 2061 ( CORRECTED) WITH CHANGES
WHEREAS, on May 24, 2022, City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2061
for the voluntary annexation of property located at 1112 Hospital Road into the City limits of
Fort Walton Beach, Florida;
WHEREAS, after Ordinance No. 2061 was recorded with the Okaloosa County Clerk of
Courts on May 31, 2022, City Staff determined there were Scrivener' s errors in the legal
description of the property at 1112 Hospital Road;
WHEREAS, City Staff and the City Attorney determined a corrective ordinance was
necessary to amend the City' s municipal boundary to correct the legal description for the
property at 1112 Hospital Road.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Authority and Intent
The authority for enactment of this ordinance is contained in Chapter 166, 021( 1) and
171. 044 of the Florida Statutes, and Section 2 of the City Charter,
Section 2. Amendment of City' s Municipal Boundary
The following legal description, corrected for Scrivener' s errors, of the recently annexed
property at 1112 Hospital Road is hereby incorporated into the municipal boundary of the City of
Fort Walton Beach:
