STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Appointment of members to the Affordable Housing Advisory
Committee as required by Section 420.9076(2), Florida Statutes.
BACKGROUND: Section 420.9076 requires that the members of the Affordable Housing
Advisory Committee represent certain housing related areas. As of this writing, the following
County members are available for appointment:
Residential Home Builder - Randy Wise
Mortgage Banker - Deborah Money
Representative of Labor Engaged in Home Building - Katherine Orr
For-Profit Affordable Housing Provider - Mike Kent
Non-Profit Housing Provider - Nitsi Bennett
Real Estate Professional - Anita Williams
Local Citizen - Nate Smith
Represents Employers - Gary McMorrow
Represents Essential Service Personnel - Ken Wolfe
Local Planning Agency Member - Felix Beukenkamp
As of this writing, the County must still appoint a representative for low income persons. Staff is
actively looking for an individual to fill this position.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends the Board appoint the above individuals to the
Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
