BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: October 4, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Tracy Stage SUBJECT: Hangar Assignment of Lease from Robert Smith to HBJ Holdings, LLC DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: A proposed Assignment of Lease from Robert A. Smith to HBJ Holdings, LLC, Mr. Henry Johnson, for Block 1 Lot 1, at the Destin Executive Airport is being presented to the Board of County Commissioners for approval. BACKGROUND: On May 18, 2016 the Board approved the Hangar Lease for Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith has sold his aircraft and now wishes to assign his hangar to HBJ Holdings, LLC, Mr. Henry Johnson. Mr. Smith is in full compliance with all lease requirements. The hangar transfer fee has been received. HBJ Holdings, LLC’s certificates of insurance are attached along with the contract and lease internal coordination sheet. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve the assignment of lease as stated above. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
