BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 7, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Monahan Estates Subdivision DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: To review the final plat for Monahan Estates Subdivision, a re- subdivision of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Bella Vista Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 109 of the public records of Okaloosa County, Florida. The re-division is necessary to construct a proposed 4 lot single family detached residential subdivision as submitted by Mark Siner with Choctaw Engineering on behalf of the property owner, Henderson Enterprises Trust LLC. The property is currently zoned Residential 2 (R 2) with a Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation of Medium Density Residential (MDR). The general location of the property is the southeast corner of Monahan Drive and Cove Drive, Fort Walton Beach. Property contains 0.86 acres more or less. BACKGROUND: Development Order (DO) for Monahan Estates Subdivision was issued on May 27, 2016. The proposed 4 lot single family detached residential subdivision is consistent with the Okaloosa County Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. Staff has no objection to the approval of the final plat as submitted. All approvals are on file. OPTIONS: The Board may approve the final plat for recording or may withhold approval. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board approve the final plat for Monahan Estates Subdivision. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
