BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: November 5, 2013
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Jeff Littrell
SUBJECT: Final Payment - CH2M HILL Contract
DEPARTMENT: Water and Sewer
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: OCWS staff requests BCC approval of a final payment, in the
amount of $5,092.40, to CH2M HILL Engineers Inc. on contract C05-1188-WS.
BACKGROUND: Via the qualifications-based selection process (form of bidding out
professional services), Okaloosa County Water & Sewer entered into a contract with CH2M
HILL Engineers Inc. in 2005. This was a Master Services Agreement (MSA) in which
individual task orders were issued on a project per project basis. Under this MSA, 20 task orders
have been completed. Some of the bigger projects include assistance on the future water supply
program, design of Eglin's Taxiway H water main, smoke testing gravity sewer on Okaloosa
Island, and various wetland permitting. Of these 20 task orders, the final invoice has been sent
and the payment is now due. This particular invoice, for $5,092.40, happens to be for Task
Order 19 - Professional Engineering Services for Future Water Supply Planning and Assistance.
This final invoice, along with other pertinent information, is attached for your review.
Moving forward into the future, staff went through the qualifications-based selection process
(Bid # WS40-13). CH2M HILL was awarded a new MSA (Contract C13-2069-WS), along with
2 other engineering firms. Now that the final invoice has been received for task orders on the
previous MSA, final payment is now due.
OPTIONS: Approve or deny.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends BCC approval of a final payment, in the amount
of $5,092.40, to CH2M HILL Engineers Inc. on contract C05-1188-WS.
