BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 17, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Life's A Beach Contract Amendment DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for Chairman to sign Amendment 1 to Visitors Guide Production Agreement, contract C14-2195 TDD. BACKGROUND: TDD staff has determined it would be beneficial to modify the visitor guide specifications to create a more comprehensive document. Specifically, the number of guides produced would be reduced to align with demand (the guide is available for download on the Emerald Coast website), the paper grade reduced, and the number of pages within each guide increased. These adjustments would allow a more comprehensive guide to be produced at the same guide weight for mailing and overall cost of $74,341 ($70,912 for the guide and $3,429 for the ECCC flyer). The Tourist Development Council meets again in December and approval for this contract amendment is needed prior to printing. This will be presented to the TDC for informational purposes at its next meeting. OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove RECOMMENDATION: Approve Amendment 1 to Visitors Guide Production Agreement, contract C14-2195 TDD, and authorize the Chairman to sign.
