RESOLUTION NO. 08- 202 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 01-41; INCREASING AND SETTING THE MAXIMUM FEES FOR WRECKER OR TOWING SERVICES AND STORAGE IN OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PROVISIONS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. WHEREAS, Okaloosa has not adjusted the rates for wrecker or towing service and storage since 2001, and WHEREAS, the costs for fuel, equipment, real estate, and personnel have significantly increased since the last adjustment. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: SECTION 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 01- 41 is hereby amended and revised to read: “ Section 1. Establishment of Schedule of Fees. The schedule of fees established and the adopted maximum fees for wrecker services or towing of vehicles ig ge forth as follows: CLASS ‘A’ Wrecker (Including Roll-Back or Slide Back Carriers) Base Rate $ 120.00 Mileage Rate - per mile charged beyond 5 2,00 ten mile radius Hourly Rate - for waiting or working time on scene after first Thirty (30) minutes (Billed by % hour) $ 90.00 CLASS ‘B’ Wrecker Base Rate $ 135.00 Mileage Rate - per mile charged beyond S 3.00 ten mile radius Hourly Rate - for waiting or working time on scene after first Thirty (30) minutes {Billed by ¥ hour) $ 100.00 CLASS 'C’ Wrecker Base Rate $ 225.00 Mileage Rate - per mile charged beyond 3 4.00 ten mile radius Hourly Rate - for waiting or working time on scene after first Thirty (30) minutes (Billed by ¥ hour) $ 220.00 Daily Storage for Class ‘A’ Service Storage - Per day rate $ 20.00 Daily Storage for Class ‘B’ and ‘'C’ Service $ 45.00 $10.00 for first 20 ft. - $1.00 per foot per day thereafter, maximum $45.00 ** NOTE: Mileage Rates are for Towed Miles One Way. Storage Fees are calculated after the first & hours. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect November 1, 2008. DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session this the 21°" day of October, 2008.
