STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Airports Department requests the Board of County
Commissioners' approval of Hangar Lease Renewal, Assignment of Lease, and Amendment of
Lease for Tiger Air of Alabama, Inc., Mr. Darryl White, (L97-0208-AP) located at Block 1 Lots
5 & 6, Destin Executive Airport.
BACKGROUND: On March 18, 1997, Mr. Darryl White and Mr. Leslie O'Steen entered into a
Lease for hangar space at the Destin Executive Airport. Mr. White requested to renew his Lease
that was scheduled to expire on September 30, 2016. Mr. White's lease was extended to allow
for the Airports Department Staff to present the new appraised rates to the Board and request that
the Board approve the new appraisal rates and new language for the care of leased premises. Mr.
Leslie O'Steen requests to assign his portion of the Lease to Mr. White. Mr. White is in full
compliance with all lease terms. The contract and lease internal coordination sheet is attached
along with Mr. White's certificates of insurance.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve Mr. White's
Hangar Lease Renewal, Assignment of Lease, and Amendment as stated above.
