The new scope is one that meets the needs for a 10 to 20 year projection, and likely suitable for 25 to 30 years. The new scope includes the addition of approximately 36,000 square feet in a 3 story building for the courts, judges and the holding areas, and the relocation and expansion of security for a south side entrance. Also included in the new scope is the renovation of approximately 42,000 square feet in the existing 3 story building to accommodate the complete court support functions required. The new scope indicates construction budgets of $12,000,000 for new construction and $5,000,000 for renovation/remodeling. The design fees and preconstruction services completed to date are credited to the project. The increased design fees and the preconstruction costs are adjusted to meet the new scope as accepted by the county.
