SUBJECT: Sale of Surplus Vehicles and Equipment

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Fleet Operations seeks authorization by the Board to sell surplus
vehicles and equipment.
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: The County has seven pieces of surplus vehicles and
equipment ready for disposal. Disposition documentation has been completed for transfer of the
vehicles and equipment to Fleet Operations. Fleet Operations requests Board authorization to
sell these vehicles and equipment through our contract with Midway Auctions in Tallahassee, FL
on January 25, 2014. Our contract number with Midway Auctions is #C12-1937-FLT and
expires on February 28, 2014.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove Fleet Operations to proceed with the sale of the surplus
vehicles and equipment.
RECOMMENDATION: Grant authorization for Fleet Operations to sell surplus vehicles and
equipment.
