SUBJECT: FAA Pre-applications FY13
DEPARTMENT: Airport

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board is requested to approve six pre-applications to the FAA
for FY 13 projects and equipment.
BACKGROUND: FAA requires notification of anticipated projects in order to program
airports' entitlement and discretionary funding. Subsequently, airports submit formal
applications when actual costs are determined through the bid process. Three of the requested
projects were approved during the FY 13 County budget process. They include the Fire Station
to be constructed on Eglin (Military Airport Program), the Police Station (Public Safety Facility),
and the addition of Bag Lifts on existing passenger loading bridges. The other three projects
include two replacement ground level loading bridges, a replacement aircraft ramp sweeper and
rehabilitation of Taxiway D-1. All these projects/equipment are for the Northwest Florida
Regional Airport. Local matching funds will be from Passenger Facility Charges. A summary of
funding is attached.
