Fourteen years from the city tap

Every year the City of Fort Walton Beach publishes what its testing found in the drinking water. Each glass below is one testing year, filled to that year's result as a share of the legal limit. The dashed line is the limit. Choose a year to read its full table and open the preserved report.

PWS ID# 1460144 · Floridan Aquifer wells · aeration and chlorination. This view organizes figures from the sources; it is a research annotation, not a substitute for the underlying evidence.

    How these figures were drawn

Values were transcribed from each report's machine-extracted text layer and should be checked against the PDFs before reuse. Years are testing years, as the archive labels them. Where a report repeats a result from an earlier sampling round, the glass is hatched and the table says when the sample was taken.

TTHM and HAA5 figures are the "level detected" each report gives; for 2025, which lists only a range, the top of the range is shown. Limits are the federal MCLs printed in the reports (lead and copper use the action level, chlorine the MRDL); sodium uses Florida's 160 ppm standard. A preserved source establishes what was recorded, not automatically whether its claims are true.
