Treatment and Cooling Tower
Maintainer.
Public Content
Approval is being requested to advertise a public hearing for adoption of the
job description, Water Treatment and Cooling Tower Maintainer.
Mr. Steve Bolton, Program Director of Maintenance, is requesting the new
job description. However, this is not a request for an additional position.
Mr. Bolton is looking ahead at future retirement and believes the attached
job description more accurately depicts what a current position is
responsible for rather than the job description, Plumber I. For future
replacement of this position Mr. Bolton would like to advertise the position
under the new requested job description, Water Treatment and Cooling
Tower Maintainer, instead of advertising for a Plumber I.
This request is not for an additional position but rather to convert a Plumber
I position to a Water Treatment and Cooling Tower Maintainer position. The
pay for both positions is based on a pay grade D of the Educational Support
Salary Schedule. Therefore, the financial impact of this request is intended
to be budget neutral.
