Approval is requested for TPM Program #6, Task Order #39, Scope Modification #2, District-Wide Parking & Paving, Crestview High
School Parking Reconfiguration Project (Phase 2) and Meigs Middle School New Parking Lot.
Crestview High School Parking Reconfiguration Project (Phase 2) – This project consists of the reconstruction of the asphalt parking
lot at the front of the school. The existing parking lot is bound by concrete curbs that will remain in most places, except at the Main entry
to the school where they will be reconstructed/reconfigured for better drainage, safe access and traffic flow. An existing storm sewer
structure and piping will be relocated to address existing drainage issues. Lot drainage is accomplished via surface flow. New parking lot
lighting will be installed as part of the project. Phase 2 will be divided into Phase 2A and 2B to allow for some work to be completed
before school starts in August. This scope does not include areas identified on the drawings as Phase 1 or Phase 3. This will be funded
through Capital 1.50 Mill.
Meigs Middle School Parking Lot Project – This project consists of the construction of a new asphalt parking lot with appropriate
striping and signage near the front of the school off Richbourg Ave. The new parking lot will be bounded by flat concrete curbs. Lot
drainage is accomplished via surface flow. One short section of new sidewalk will be provided to extend the existing sidewalk to the end
of the property. This will be funded through Capital Sales Tax.

Public Content
In order to encourage equal representation of all school boards in the FSBA legislative efforts, Article XI, Section 1 of the FSBA Bylaws
calls for each district school board to annually designate a board member and an alternate to serve on the FSBA Advocacy (previously
called Legislative) Committee. These Advocacy Committee members serve as the key architects of the FSBA Legislative Platform and
as essential advocates in our local, state, and federal lobbying efforts.
A policy change was approved at the Annual Joint Conference (December 2019) that restructured committees, placing the Advocacy
Committee as the overarching, statewide committee. This change also shifted the Legislative Committee to a smaller, more focused
subcommittee of the Advocacy Committee, alongside the Federal Relations subcommittee.
The Advocacy Committee will begin work in early August and will be appointing its Legislative and Federal subcommittee
members by September 1.
These roles and responsibilities include:
Representing your district in statewide advocacy
Engaging with policymakers and education stakeholders
Attending monthly meetings
Leading local advocacy and reporting efforts
The committee term is from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
Mr. Bryant currently serves as the Board's representative and Parker Destin serves as the alternate.
