Subject : 8.4 Proposed Fiscal Year 2023-2024
Salary Schedules for Administrative,

Recommended Action : Motion to approve proposed fiscal
year 2023-2024 salary schedules for
Administrative, Managerial, and
Professional/Technical personnel.
Public Content
On July 24, 2023, the School Board approved the tentative contract agreement between the Okaloosa County School District and the
Okaloosa County Education Association. In that agreement, Instructional personnel on the Grandfathered Salary Schedule would be
assigned their current salary (including previously earned longevity stipends) as their permanent base salaries. Annual salary increases
would then be negotiated as percentage increases in lieu of steps, and no additional longevity would be paid. This agreement was
ratified by the Union.
The Superintendent is proposing that the fiscal year 2023-2024 salary schedules for Administrative, Managerial, and
Professional/Technical personnel follow the same methodology. Each person on the Grandfathered Administrative, Managerial, and
Professional/Technical salary schedule would be assigned their current salary (including previously earned longevity stipends) as their
permanent base salaries. Annual salary increases would then be negotiated as percentage increases in lieu of steps, and no additional
longevity would be paid with the exception of the longevity payment made to Professional/Technical employees on pay grades 3, 4, and
5 who have completed eighteen (18) or more years of experience recognized by the School District. The following is a list of proposed
