9. Superintendent's Human Resources Recommendations
Subject : 9.5 Department Staffing Restructure,

Superintendent, Human Resources,
and recommended by the
Superintendent for approval.
Meeting : Feb 14, 2022 - Regular Meeting
Type : Action
Preferred Date : Feb 14, 2022

Dollar Amount : ($84,488.00)

Recommended Action : Motion to approve the request to
approve the staffing pattern restructure
to delete a Programmer Analyst
position and add a Computer Operator
II position in the Information Systems
(MIS) Department.
Public Content
The Information Systems (MIS) Department is requesting approval to delete a Programmer Analyst position and add a Computer
Operator II position for a net change of zero positions. The restructure represents a cost savings.
Due to the approaching FOCUS timelines on both the ERP and SIS applications, we are requesting to add a Computer Operator II
position. This position would allow Information Systems to provide a Help Desk. The Help Desk would begin taking calls while our
programmers continue with the data transfers and systems migrations. Due to growth in other department areas and newly required
FOCUS responsibilities, positions we had planned to transition to help desk support are no longer viable options, nor do we anticipate
that to change in the foreseeable future. Our first FOCUS users start February 22, and more users come online every month until
October.
For more information, please contact Lee Hale at 850-833-5801.
