Approval is requested for a Scope Modification to TPM Program #6, Task Order #2 - Pre-GMP District-Wide School Security Upgrade
Project (Phase 1), in the amount of $135,000.00. The revised total Pre-GMP for Task Order No. 2 will be a not to exceed amount of
$324,968 comprised of the previously approved Pre-GMP of $135,000 approved at the January 28th School Board Meeting plus the
scope modification amount, if approved, of $189,968. If approved, the Scope Modification will be funded through a combination of the
School Security Grant funding and the Capital Outlay Fencing Project as approved by the School Board in the FY 2018-2019 five-year
Capital Outlay plan.
The Scope Modification description: Pre-GMP budget estimate for the TO#2 scope modification that adds the campus fencing
component to the school Single Point of Entry campus safety initiative.
School Safety – Campus Fencing: Work will entail designing and constructing campus fencing at select District schools to compliment
and bolster the effectiveness of creating a single-point of entry for every school. Schools will be selected based on the District’s
prioritized list. This effort will be coordinated and completed simultaneously with Single Point of Entry design efforts already underway.
Fencing will be placed appropriately on sites to allow for visitor traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, to access newly created,
monitored, secure single point of entry vestibules. This work will be prioritized and completed as per the associated grant and District
funding. Depending on the final project designs and associated costs, additional schools may receive campus fencing that is not
associated with a new single entry point project.
