Through this program, eligible OCSD employees and their covered dependents for whom an eligible surgical procedure has been
recommended will be provided with the option to utilize the SurgeryPlus network of facilities and surgeons for their procedure. By
selecting a SurgeryPlus network facility, the employee will have access to "Best in Class" outcomes, concierge service and will have their
deductible and coinsurance waived.
SurgeryPlus delivers savings of up to 50% compared to national carriers by securing lower reimbursement rates with participating
providers. The recommended fee structure would be based on a percentage of the savings achieved. OCSD would retain 65% and EDH
35% of the amount saved.
