Public Content
Every year the District's School Health Advisory Council is required to perform a district project
promoting health. This year's project encompasses our fabulous CHOICE Culinary programs, our
ASPIRE grant schools and students, and our Healthy School Teams. The recipes and videos created by
our Culinary Students will be posted online and can be shown by our Healthy School Teams throughout
the school district. Our ASPIRE students will be making the winning recipe (Nutrition Group providing
the ingredients) and eating it as their snack during their program. We want to recognize the
competition winners to let the board and community know about the various programs in the district
and how they work collectively to meet the needs of students. This project really brings full circle our
mission, "We prepare all students to achieve excellence by providing the highest quality education
while empowering each individual to positively impact their families, communities, and the world".
The SHAC is recognizing the winning entry and providing the certificates but wanted to do so in front of
the board.
The winning recipes are attached.
