SUBJECT: Assignment of Lease

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: A proposed assignment of lease from R & S Holdings, Inc., Mr.
Tom Richardson to Machinery Sales Company, Inc., Mr. Richard Meadows, for Block 8 lot 9 at
the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport is being presented to the Board of County Commissioners
for approval.
BACKGROUND: R & S Holdings, Inc., Mr. Tom Richardson previously entered into a ground
lease agreement for Block 8 lot 9 at the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport and now desires to
assign his responsibility to Machinery Sales Company, Inc., Mr. Richard Meadows. The transfer
fee has been received. The certificate of insurance, assignment of lease and internal coordination
sheet are attached.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is staff's recommendation that the Board approve the Assignment
of Lease as described above.
