The West Florida Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is pleased to announce that the winner of its annual American

chapter, the State of Florida, and the Southeast Division of the United States. Her award-winning essay also placed third on the National
level.
Connelly Grelle’s essay, “Enjoying a New Kind of Tea Party:
The Importance of Women in American History,” explored the first political protest led by women in the British Colonies. This protest was
in response to the Tea Act, passed by the British Parliament. In 1774, 51 women from Edenton, North Carolina signed a statement to
boycott the purchase of tea and other British goods from England.
Leah McGill, the Chairperson of the American History Essay Contest states, “This year’s essay contest was highly competitive, and
Connelly’s essay stood out for its insightful analysis, historical accuracy, and strong writing.” Connelly’s winning essay was recognized by
Regent Teri Vice at the February meeting of the West Florida DAR chapter, where she received a certificate, medal, and a gift card to
Barnes and Noble. Connelly was also recognized at the DAR State Conference in Orlando, Florida, where she received a medal and a
monetary award by the Florida State Society State Regent, Cindy Addison. Following her state win, her essay went on to win first place
in the Southeast Division and third place in the National American History Essay Contest. At the national conference in June, she will
receive further accolades and a larger monetary award.
The DAR’s American History Essay Contest encourages students in grades 5th through 8th to explore and learn about American history
through creative writing. Dr. Belinda Small, Principal of Destin Middle School is proud to share that DMS has had winners in the 5th – 8th
grade level categories for the past two years.

These amendments properly reflect the estimated revenue and appropriations. The amendments show the estimated revenue and
appropriations for each fund and provide a description of the amendments.

- Contract Modification Change Order

Public Content
IT Seat Management Outsourcing Agreement - Contract Modification Change Order 1 is being presented for approval. The Change
Order accomplishes the following:
Outlines new types of Apple seats, including Apple MacBook Air 13", Apple iPad Pro Seat w/Apple Pencil Pro, Apple iPad Pro
Seat, Apple iPad Air Seat w/Apple Pencil Pro, and Apple iPad Air Seat. These additional iPad seats offer the District more
options for deployment.
Increases refresh length on Apple Laptops and Apple Desktops from three years to four years, lowering the monthly costs for
these devices. This increase in the life cycle of the devices is based on Apple's recommendation.
Increases the cost of the iPad seats by $0.69 per month per seat to reflect Apple's higher cost for the devices due to an increase
on the base configuration. This change only applies to iPad seats, not supported iPads, and is outside the control of both the
District and Titan Technologies.
Changes the contract year to coincide with the District's fiscal year.
The attached spreadsheet indicates the projected annual expenditure increases/(decreases) for each seat whose price has changed.
The current number of Apple iMac Seats indicate a savings for the District. The District currently owns approximately 20,000 Apple
iPads that are being supported through the Seat Management contract. As iPads age, they will be converted to Seats. The $0.69 per
month increase will only apply to those iPads converted to Seats. The attached projection is assuming a maximum of 4,000 converted
iPads per year for 5 years. The total projected increase in cost for fiscal year 2025-2026 is $27,473.00.
