WASTE MANAGEMENT INC. 108 Hill Avenue Ft Walton Bch, FL 32548 (850) 301-2816 October 18, 2012 Mr. John Hofstad, Public Works Director Okaloosa County 1759 South Ferdon Boulevard Crestview, FL 32539 Dear Mr. Hofstad Waste Management met today with Okaloosa Water and Sewer and discussed the discrepancies between the billing and the remittance. During our discussions a number of key issues were identified. Water and Sewer staff committed to begin running queries, analyze the data and make recommendations to mitigate these discrepancies. It is their feeling that this process will take several weeks. It is possible that the resolution of these discrepancies may provide additional information and create new option for the 1 – 1 – 1 program. Please accept this request to delay discussions on the 1 – 1 – 1 program until the first Board of County Commission Meeting in December. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to give me a call. Sincerely, Domenica Farmer Domenica Farmer District Manager
