SUBJECT: Destin Airport Runway Construction
DEPARTMENT: Airport
BCC DISTRICT: All
The Airports Director will brief the BCC on the tentative construction schedule for the
runway project at Destin Airport (DTS).
The project will entail twenty-three nightly closures of the airport from 1800 hours local
time (6:00 PM) to 0600 hours local time (6:00 AM) beginning January 7, 2013 until
January 28, 2013.
Complete closure of the airport is required for seven days beginning February 4, 2013 until
February 11, 2013.
The project is expected to be completed by March 18, 2013. Construction timeline is
attached.
