School Board of Okaloosa County and
Profituity for NSF check recovery
services.
Public Content
The District has an annual contract with Safe-Chek, Inc., to provide guarantees for NSF (Not Sufficient Funds) checks written to the
District. A recent NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) rule change now requires the District to have a direct
agreement with the ACH (Automated Clearing House) processor company, Profituity that Safe-Chek, Inc., uses to reimburse the District
for NSF checks. This agreement is required in order for the District to continue contracting with Safe-Chek, Inc. This agreement is for the
processing of ACH funds for checks written directly to the District, not the individual schools.
We also are requesting approval for the School Principals to sign the same agreement for each individual school to be reimbursed
directly to their individual school banks. Each school must complete a Profituity agreement with their specific bank noted for
reimbursement of NSF checks.
There is no cost for these services to the District.
